AWARE Relief team was actively involved in flood relief in Trichy and Ramnad, .On 19.12.2020 and24.12.2020.AWARE team was atRamanad District affected villages 1000 food pockets. Mineral water pockets, Biscuits pockets, Blankets, food vessels and mattresses, were distributed to the flood affected peoples at the villages The flood affected people had taken refuge at schools and Govt.buildings. The relief material sent in four trucks and a bus included rice, sugar, salt, tea powder, and other essential commodities, clothes and utensils. The relief was organized with contribution from AWARE, legal women’s welfare Association and youth clubs. A team of volunteers accompanied the relief material and distributed them to the affected families at Ramanad and other neighboring villages. These relief measures were coordinated by Mrs.D.Uma Secretary AWARE.
